Process

Planned to the metre

Field trips for minors need precise planning. Our process produces written documents at each stage so teachers, parents and village hosts work from the same plan.

  1. School brief

We collect class level, group size, number of accompanying staff, preferred dates, fitness range, dietary and medical notes, and the learning outcomes you want to cover.

  2. Route and village match

We compare your brief with trail grades, current season conditions and village capacity, then propose a program, modules and an alternative date if conditions are marginal.

  3. Route sheet

A written plan with start and turn-around times, distances, rest points, water points, guide allocation, meal times, overnight arrangements and a lower fallback route.

  4. Pre-trip pack

Student briefing, kit list, conduct code, parent information letter and worksheets, sent for teacher review before the trip.

  5. Field days

Morning briefing at the trailhead, guided walks with timed checkpoints, village sessions, and a short evening review on overnight programs.

  6. Debrief

A closing discussion with guides and hosts, followed by a short written summary for teachers covering what was observed and any route notes.

Forested peak rising above tea estates and distant blue ridgelines
Ridge and valley lines like these are marked on every route sheet as orientation landmarks.

Planning questions

How far ahead should we contact you?

Several weeks before your preferred dates is best, so routes, village capacity and the pre-trip pack can be prepared without rushing.

Can you work with mixed fitness levels?

Yes. Route sheets include shorter options and split points, and groups can be divided between guides.

Do you arrange transport to the trailhead?

We can advise on access points and timings; transport arrangements are confirmed during route matching.

What if the weather turns?

Every route sheet includes a lower fallback route and village-based sessions, and the lead guide decides on the day.

Start with a brief.

Five details are enough to begin: class level, group size, dates, subject and region preference.
